basically ive got 100's of apps installed on my phone and many still run in the background using up alot of ram memory and causing the phone to lag occasionaly, any1 recommend any good ram manager apps that would help speed up my phone? thx

p.s. please dont ask me to delete sum apps :-)

You don't need any RAM manager. Android does an excellent job of managing RAM. 70-80% RAM usage is normal and correct. Android is based on Linux and in the Linux world unused RAM is wasted RAM. Just relax, let Android handle things and enjoy your phone.

That said, if you have a lot of widgets try eliminating some. Too many widgets are a common cause of lag.

Been using Xquizit 6.1 custom ROM for samsung exhibit 4G for months without any issues, improved everything including speed, battery life. Gave a new life to this phone. I have many apps and have to use task manager often to clear RAM, sometimes 5-10 times a day. Extremely annoying. If i don't clear RAM it lags. A few days ago i decided to delete the task manager icon because i was tired of clearing ram often. Phone is being charged most of the day, 1% accuracy battery indicator. After i stopped manually clearing RAM in the evening when try to watch streaming video in browser the phone goes from 100% to 66% in maybe 30 minutes and then i get LOW BATTERY warning and it shuts down. Sometimes it shuts down when reaches 44%. It never happened when i manually cleared RAM. When ram manually cleared it would shut down at 15% or less. I guess it depends how many apps run in background.

I'm so sick of it can't stand android anymore. I don't know if ICS or Jellybeans are better, don't have any devices that run those roms. I definitely need automatic ram manager or i'm switching to w8 or something else. I've tried using one free app but it probably did more harm than good.

UPDATE: Turned out an "intermittent power down" as Samsung calls this issue. Phone started lagging gradually and then randomly shut down. POS failed within a year. Not a memory management issue, definitely won't use any 3rd party apps for that. Only problem is when i stream video in browser sometimes it stattered/lagged so i had to use rom's own manager to manually clear ram. That seemed to help.

The more you use a RAM manager the more it lags. That's simply how the way Android works. Once you start using a RAM manager, you damage Android's own RAM managing policy. It means if you stop using the manager, it will become worse because Android has too many tagged apps it tries to run. The only way to fix would be to reformat and start from scratch without touching a RAM manager.

Agree with chanchan05. You don't have an Android problem. You have a user interference with Android problem.

That said, it's also possible you have a misbehaving app or bug in the ROM you're using.
