Root Best ROM for M835

Hey guys -

I've been watching this M835 root forum with hopes of actually doing something with my M835. It just seems the forum is slow. I know the phone is old, but does anybody know if there is a stable ROM, like a good CM7 build (aside from 09042012 version) that we could try? Maybe somebody can point me in the direction where I could find a way to flash Dronix?

Just wondering, I like this little bugger, but if all of the AF love is gone I may donate it! Thanks!

Nevermind. CM7.2-M835-09042012 is a good pick. Initially this ROM was throwing my phone into a bootloop after a few hours. I discovered that this ROM comes with CPU overclock set to default 710 MHz and revert option left unchecked!!!

After some testing, my 835 is stable running @691 MHz. Only issue left was magenta notification LED stuck on after removing charger. I fixed this with LightFlow Lite app, reassigning notification commands or shutting them off.

So far:

* No multi-tap
* Auto-Rotate does not work (kernel issue?)
* Magenta notification LED comes on after unplugging charger

I have no service on this device, so I can't test MMS function. Wi-Fi, Camera and GPS work fine. Keyboard and dialer are perfect match for screen rez!

I still see new M835's on sale everywhere, this may be of some use, since M835 stock ROM is just a micro step above unusable
