Root best ROM with BEATS baked in?

what is the best running Rom with a working Beats by Dre music app? i have tried a few but most of them don't have a fully functional beats app. i am looking to pair this Rom with the anthrax kernal any info would be helpful. thanks :)

Long story short..There isn't one that's going to work right now. Beats requires both kernel and ROM support. We had a kernel that supported it, but still no ROMS that do. Some of the sense 3.5 ROMS have the beats app, but they still didnt offer full support required for it to actually work.

AnthraX was the only kernel to support it, and it is no longer available to download due to legal issues because of the beats code used.

According to AnthraX's dev there will never be a legal kernel with beats support.

The Radiance RC 2.0 and 3.0 had the Anthrax Kernel baked in. The Beats didn't seem to make a difference when you turned it on/off.

I think that Rom still comes with the Anthrax Kernel though. It seems very smooth with only a couple of small issues like 4G and on version RC2 you couldn't send MMS. I'm sure it's been fixed. So if you looking for something to try out.

Download Radiance zip

Yeah, the only thing I noticed that having a rom with "beats" was that when I would play a track it would skip 3 tracks before playing, and would show a red beats icon in the top left of my screen.

And that was it, didn't sound any different at all. Like everyone above said we had a kernel that supported it, but from what I remember within the first couple days of that being up the OP got a C&D letter from Monster beats. So I highly doubt we will see a rom with beats support due to potential lawsuits.

Can't say I blame beats though, they put out an exclusive phone with beats and people who are smarter than me learn how to put it on our e4g's...cool for us, not so much for monster.

What are you guys talking about... Beats replaces your stock speakers with high quality ones, it makes my phone sound like a concert hall...

That was my attempt at sarcasm. My brother has that phone, the rezound right? He said beats is nothing special and he couldn't tell the difference from stock OG evo.

Slightly off-topic, but how does your brother like the Rezound otherwise?

(I'm considering Verizon more and more... My girlfriend's 3G speeds on her RAZR are amazing, not to mention the ridiculous LTE speeds; meanwhile my data speeds are running around 400kbps down, 60 up, and I'm wondering if I should try and get out of my contract with Sprint based on the comments in this xda thread, or hold out for the supposed network upgrades by Sprint... I love my EVO, and know the development elsewhere will never compare, but I'm growing frustrated with having to depend on WiFi)

I am with you on the verizon thing, I mean sprint coverage where I am at is so bad I might as well still have a flip phone. Because unless I am at home (on wifi) or in a large city my data connection is useless. And the more I look at it, on verizon I'd only pay $10 more a month than what I pay now. And yeah, I'd be on a data cap. But as it stands now I don't even use 500mbs because I cant lol.

My friend was over the other day with his verizon droid, and on 3g he got 3.5mbs down. My sprint phone got .30mbs..lol.

And it seems like sprint is actually letting people out of their contracts if you can't get advertised 3g speeds.

Sprints new LTE network is rolling out this summer. Give it some time they are making huge strides on network improvements.

I keep telling myself that, and since my contract is up at the end of May I may just tough it out until then... but man the speeds here in NC are beyond pitiful. And I've been so disappointed with WiMax... I've only been able to use 4G once or twice. While outside. In the center of downtown Raleigh. While tapping my feet, rubbing my stomach, and holding perfectly still.

(Ok, maybe I exaggerated there at the end, but you get my meaning ;) ).

I've only been in a 4G area once (Minneapolis this last weekend), and honestly wasn't that impressed with it. The speeds were nice, but for what I use my phone for the battery got killed off way too quickly.

I'll stick to WIFI and 3.5 days of battery life with my normal usage over less than 8 hours with some occasional 4G use turning radios on and off.

Yeah, I was in a 4g service area once in Kansas City. I wasn't impressed at all, it dropped once every few minutes and I never topped 4mbs down. And that was in sprints backyard.

Welll I'm helping him root his EVO4G atm if that tells you anything. The rezound is his company phone, and I get the sense he's a little disappointed.

Have you tried asking sprint for an airave mini tower for your home? I got mine a few weeks ago and I love it.
