Accessories Best Screen Protector to prevent fingerprints

The Hero is my first full touch screen phone and would like to know which screen protector works well to prevent/minimize fingerprints and faceprints. Also, one that isn't tacky that makes it difficult to slide your finger around.

Thanks in advance for your replies.

the screen itself is oleophobic. adding anything to it will actually make it more prone to prints.

BoxWave Anti-Glare is the best I know of. It also makes it easier to slide your fingers across if your hands are sweaty.

I have ghost armor on mine and I loves it.

The sliding is good, touch is still responsive. I do get fingerprints and what not but they wipe off with ease.

The top corner has started to peel just a teeny-bit, but I have a full warranty and can take it back for replacement at any time.

I think one is the Anti-glare and one is the crystal clear invisible, they are both only a screen protector.

If you want to save some $$, I bought a three protector anti-glare universal (you have to cut it to fit) DLO package from Best Buy for $7, works great.

I'm really enjoying my Zagg Invisible Shield. I put the full armor kit on it for $25. So far i have not noticed finger prints, ear grease or scratches.

Life is good.

on the website it shows two products with different prices. Is one of them like a full body kit? not just the screen?

As others have said they only have the two different screen protectors. Maybe you're seeing pricing for a single protector and the three pack.

I bought the Ghost Armor screen protector for my Hero and it works great. Don't even know it's there.

Unfortunately I can't say the same for the bits that were meant to cover the rest of the shell... I never liked how it felt and they started peeling within a few days, so I ultimately ended up just pulling them all off.

Maybe I'm the only one, but I don't like the Boxwave protectors.
I ordered one and the lower left corner would keep coming up. I gave it a week as they suggested, but the problem was still there.
So I had them "Express Exchange" a second one to me. Got it last night and it was worse than the first one. So I'm sending both back for what I hope is a full refund.
As a side note, during the week I had the first one on, I noticed a LOT more fingerprints and grease on it as compared to the native screen. I think I'm gonna keep it naked for now and see how the screen holds up.

exactly...the crystal shield will be a fingerprint magnet and the anti-glare will give the screen a horrible look (tried it)

living on the edge with just the screen as is

I heard the Zagg invisible shield is the best one. It was originally designed for the military to protect helicopter blades from dirt and other material.

I ordered Bodyguardz a couple of days ago. Ill get back to you and tell you how it feels :)

I've heard its pretty good tho

Thats me........................

I just got my Bodyguardz today and let me tell u....it is amazing!

I spent about 30-35 min installing but it was easy. I love the way it feels and i cant see the difference on the performance of the sensitivity of the screen

I recomend.. :)

It's an acquired taste. ;)

love the smoothness of them, so i tried out a spare anti glare i had from my 3gs, and the whites and the whole screen appearance was horrible.

my opinion of course

the glass finish is the best way for less fingerprints OP

referencing the anti-glare screen protector, does it kind of look/feel like matte finish??? if so, this is the one I've been looking for.

I had one on my iphone and loved it. yes, it distorted the screen slightly, but it never picked up finger prints and it was incredibly smooth

1000% agree

I wanted the Boxwave anti-glare to work, but the lighter the colors being displayed, the more it showed and interfered, almost like a clear metallic paint. I tolerated it for about 3 days and then took it off for good.

I then purchased/applied the crystal clear one, but it is a smudge/fingerprint intensifier and concentrator. Hell, calling it a fingerprint "magnet" is being too kind.

I would opt for Invisible Shield, but I am scared to death of water getting down between the button pad and screen.

Yup!

well, if the seido case works out as well as the screen protector I'll have your entire setup PGR

edit: minus the belt clip (I'm still in my 20's)
