Best SMS messaging app?

I've used handcent for a while and really like it. However, I'm having an issue with it on my Samsung Galaxy S2 (ATT version). The widget is not showing the number of unread messages??? I can't figure out why or how to fix this issue and it's driving me crazy. Anyone experienced this before or know how I might fix this? It's driving me insane

Was a Handcent user too... Converted over to GoSMS and haven't looked back.
