Best Tablet for value and spec?

Hello

I am interested in buying a tablet.. unsure of which. I have a galaxy s4... whilst the screen is nice for browsing etc, a tablet would be handier.

I also would like to stream football matches onto my tv and it may be handier doing it with a tablet.

I quite like the look of the nexus 7...but would you recommend anything else? Maybe a slightly larger screen would be nice...not sure.. the nexus 7 feels good in the hands.

Ive never really looked at tablets, so any thoughts or advice is very welcome.

The Nexus 7 currently has the best screen available on ANY tablet, Android, iOS or Windows. It's also a pretty reasonable price. I think it would be a good call. My only hesitation would be the screen size: the missus has the bigger iPad and that extra real estate is nice. You may want to take a look at the Nexus 10 (though I believe the screen is not up with that of the N7).

Assuming you're in the UK (based on the time and the mention of "football matches"), you could check out the new Tesco tablet: it's a lot cheaper and while obviously nowhere near as good, who knows? Maybe it's good enough.

My choice would be the Nexus 7 as well. The OS is Android so it would be easier for you to learn than Apple's OS would be.

I checked and it IS possible to stream TV on this device.

For my money, Android OS can't be beat. Last but not least, my boyfriend is a techie and he says he doesn't know of any major issues with this particular device.

I vote Nexus 7.
