Best text messaging app?

I am looking for a text messaging app that does not collect my contacts or things like that, and will let me create a number that I can use for sales and people I'm not sure I want on my contacts list. Which is the best one? Is there a free one that does this? I've had trouble finding one like this.

Talk a tone is great I really like it and you're allowed incoming calls for free and I believe 10 outgoing a month free. Next best thing is Google voice. I haven't had a problem with either but I like talk a tone for my tablet and Google voice to text via computer
