best VR headset for Note 3??

hi,

i was thinking about getting me a toy for xmas...
of course i have the samsung note3..

and what is the best VR headset for the Note 3?
and i would want it to be usable with my next phone i get next year.
what are the cons of getting a VR headset that is compatible for an old phone?

Honestly, no VR helmet is good for the Note 3. It only has a 1080p screen at 5.7 inches, so you can easily see individual pixels, it is really jarring. Another problem is that the Note 3 not being designed for VR, doesn't have calibrated sensors, they are uncalibrated, which means the view will move in a direction continuously even when you aren't moving. The sensors have to be built calibrated as well, there is no way to calibrate them. Having a home button that sticks out and very easy to press side buttons also make it irritating to keep uninterrupted in VR session. This is coming from someone who bought a VR Headset for the Note 3, now it spends more time in my drawer than it does on my head. Wait until your next phone to pick out a VR Headset so you know you get something good.
