Help Best way to make a custom notification sound?

What is the best way on a Transformer Prime? I never had to do it on my Evo 4G since I loved the "Soft" and "Teleport" sounds for SMS and Gmail respectively, but I did make ringtones and it seems that method of doing it isn't working got notifications on the Prime. Any help please?

The way to make custom tones on the Transformer Prime is to move the audio files into the ringtones, notifications, or alarms folder in the file explorer on the tablet.
