Hey everyone,

then next app BETA is finished :) "Easy Contact Sync".

Based on my last app "Easy App Toolbox", I created this new app for handling your contacts.

Contacts are saved as VCARDs (*.vcf files). This way they can easily be used in any other application that can handle VCARDs.

Feature List:
* Backup/Restore to/from Dropbox
* Backup/Restore to/from Google Drive
* Backup/Restore to/from Box.net
* Backup/Restore to/from SD card
* Auto Sync (automatically backup all contacts every night at 0:00)
* Directly send/share one or multiple contacts

I'm really looking forward to your feedback! :)

The app is available at the Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.goddchen.android.easycontactsync

as well as via QR code :)

The app uses a freemium model again: free selection limit: 3 contacts at a time, auto-sync is also available via in-app purchase. As you are used to, you can freely choose how much you want to pay! :)

v1.0-beta1-2 Changelog:
  • Unified the existing 2 in-app purchases to 1 premium-purchase that now unlocks all premium features. Users who have already purchased one of the existing IAPs automatically now have everything unlocked. If you had purchased both IAPs, contact me to get a refund for one of them!
  • Now compatible with Google TV (some clould service SDKs doesn't support Google TV!!!)

Hey everyone :)

Another app is finished - App Update Notifier: Crowd Edition!

It is basically the same code basis as the original App Update Notifier (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.goddchen.android.x.appupdate) but it doesn't use any third-party APIs or web crawlers
to gather app version information. Instead, it relies totally on the "crowd". Whenever you check for updates,
your app versions are sent with the request and used to update the database. So, once the first user has an update
installed, everyone else will see the update, instantly!

The reason for this second edition of the app is that all the available APIs for app version infos are pretty much
outdated most of the time, sometimes up to 1 or 2 weeks... That's simply unsatisfying for users of an app update
notifier. With the ne strategy, I hope to solve this problem. Let's see how it goes... :)

Privacy notice: The app version infos are transmitted totally anonymous! There are 3 elements transfered for each
app: package name, version code an version name. That's it, no device id, email address, or anything!

Looking forward to your feedback! :)

Grab the app at the Play Store:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.goddchen.android.appupdate.crowd

or use the QR code:

v1.0.3:
  • Remove the AppAware banner at the bottom (not used anymore)
  • Reduce the frequency of popups (10% now)
  • Add a choices dialog that let's you choose how to open/look for an update

v1.0.4:
  • Based on the feedback in the XDA discussion thread: versions are now grouped by device model and grouped by Android version. Additionally other processes have been added to drastically reduce the number of false positives!
  • !!NOTE!! Please don't give bad ratings or send emails because updates are not found anymore, the index will have to adjust to that new logic, please give it some time :)

Hey everyone!

Need your help again with my next BETA Android app :)

It is again focused on the cloud. This time, it is a note taking app that you can sync to various cloud services (even in parallel).

It supports the common note types:
  • Text notes
  • Checklists
  • Photo notes
  • Audio notes
  • Drawings (coming soon)

Currently supported cloud services:
  • Dropbox
  • Google Drive
  • Box.net
  • SugarSync
  • SkyDrive

It doesn't use any custom views and should be pure Holo :)

Grab it at the Play Store:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.goddchen.android.cloudnotes

Or via this QR Code:

Or on Google Drive:

Really looking forward to your feedback of any kind! :)

Looks good, but couple of things from a 1st use experience:-

1) Loading spinners didn't get removed. They just stayed, until I hit compose.

2) Hitting the Save icon didn't confirm anything happened. Clicked it a few times, and then clicked back and realised it had saved, just hadn't told me.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,

Ryan

Will be fixed in next update, thanks :)

Any security concerns about giving the app my Gmail password when buying the pro version? I'm used to paying for apps in the Play Store, not from within apps themselves.

Giving your gmail password to the app? Will never happen, promised! Not sure what you are talking about :(

Maybe you have activated the Play Store setting that secures in-app purchases with your password?

1.0-beta4:
  • Fixed multiple Force Close issues
  • Show feedback when clicking the save button
  • Theme chooser (dark/light theme)
