Beta Fix for Handcent users suffering with the duplicate SMS issues on new ICS (LPQ) firmware

Apologies if this has already been posted. I couldn't find anything.

You may be aware of the duplicate SMS bug on the new ICS build (LPQ) when using 3rd party SMS apps.

Here is a beta fix below for Handcent app users straight from the developers. Not sure about GoSMS etc..

I tried it and it has fixed the problem

its not a fix, its a beta of the new handcent app.
i also use this and fixed my duplicate message issues although i also moved to LP7 ICS and i believe that also included a fix for the message issue.

but the beta app is so much nicer looking than the older versions

I've got it and I'm not on ICS. It isn't ICS dependent. Calm down!

Just install it and see for yourself. It's an beta update for Handcent.

When I download, it turns up as a .zip file, not apk!
What am I doing wrong?

Nevermind, found out by myself...
