Hello guys,
Some of you may have heard of my "ROM without ROM" project. It's goal it to enable all commando users, regardless of their current state, firmware version, etc. to be able to have a ROM, without touching critical system files. After some work with it, and working all the scripts out, i think it is ready for beta. You enjoy all of the same features as before, but you get to keep your current ROM build. So, people with an older ROM, M100 or lower, can have a ROM now too! (I think)
The script works in the following order. It installs each aspect of the RedPill ROM, but in phases. (I made this assuming you are rooted and buysbox, fyi)
1. The Theme and Boot Menu
2. The bootanimation bianary and bootanimation.zip
3. The light tools update
4. The full tools update
I tested it and it worked great on my device, it went from a nandroid of the stock ROM to the RedPill ROM without problems. I ask ONLY one thing after you download it.
1. Please post your ROM build version (Mxx/Mxxx), and if it worked.
I really hope this can help out you guys who want a ROM but don't want to mess around with the crital system files, only the theme files.
