Better battery life with GB.

I downloaded the GB ota, and can't really tell a big improvement to the bolts battery life.(I do keep it plugged in a lot just out of habit) Can those who have had a increase in batt. Life after the GB update please share.

I haven't taken the OTA, since I'm rooted and ROMed, but I get a minimum of 10-12 hours between charges with pretty heavy usage (stock battery)

I noticed a big difference in mine lasting longer.

I've seen a HUGE improvement I don't even need to use my extended battery anymore. I get like 6-7 hrs with constant usage now as opposed to the 4 hrs I got b4 update

I've noticed mine doing a bit better. Maybe 5-10%?

I really think it is much better now at managing background processes because I haven't had any "runaway apps" or random things happening. Which is great and helps battery life.

All things considered, the GB update seems to have tamed the beast and I am really starting to enjoy this phone.

My battery life has improved dramatically. I used to be at about 30% at the end of the day using Juice Defender. Now its about 60% with Juice Defender off.

Initially my battery life was a lot worse with GB. I took the battery out and restarted to see if that would help. It now seems to be about the same but definitely not better. There is also an option to stop background updating which I now have turned on in GB. I haven't had a heavy use day to really test battery life.

Since I first posted this message it has been a couple of days. My battery life is now as good or better than before the GB update. I would recommend shutting down and taking the battery out and restarting after the upgrade. I had the option to stop background updates turned on but that caused many of the things I use to stop working. I have turned that back off

Mine is worse AND better it seems. I'll take it off charge when I wake up, by the time I leave for work it's down 14% (ONE HOUR). This morning, I put it on charge in the car on the way to work (30 minute commute) and an hour after I got to work it was only down to 94%, and it was NOT fully charged from the car ride. I use wireless at both home and work, home is WPA (maybe WPA2) work is an open guest network and has MUCH worse cell reception than home.

Overnight charge is in a Seidio tabletop dock (run the phone as a clock also so the screen is on all night) with a Motorola wall wart (turns out it's 850 mA), car charge is a generic 12v-USB adapter from Monoprice.

my TB is lighter and smaller too, with GB...

I noticed this too. It also smells like Christmas now.

Actually I was told that GB was better on battery life. I see ZERO difference at all. I have all the GB power saver settings on and it is just like before. Oddly enough, about a week before the GB update my battery life got worse than it has been for the last 5 months or however long I had it. I used to take it off the charger around 8am and put it back on around 11pm. Now I seem to have to get a little booster charge at about 6pm-8pm depending on usage. So, that is a little confusing.

You may notice diminished battery life for a few days after the update while the radio settles and cache builds in the kernel, after that you should notice an improvement, not sure how much I would think 15% would be around the max you would see, given you aren't doing things on the phone now you weren't before the update.
