I'd say the obvious problem is that you spent 8.5 out of 11 hours with no signal. If that was airplane mode then that's not a representative test of battery life. If it was being out of cover I'm surprised your battery life wasn't worse, since poor signal sucks battery like little else.

No, just regular mode. Not sure why the signal is so bad, I'm just going to work and back which is about 10 minutes away. I'll have to check with T-Mobile and see if there is a reason my signal is so poor.
