better keyboard 8 repurchase?

i used to have better keyboard 8 and i purchased it.
Then i got another phone and i was going to redownload it since i had already purchased and since i really liked the keyboard.
when i started to look for it realized that it wasn't there anymore.
now that i have e-mailed them they are saying that it is on amazon.
they are right you can redownload it from there but you have to pay the $2.99 fee again.
I do not think this is right considering that i have already purchased this app once, i think they should issue a refund for this or a credit if your going to purchase it again.
and they is no way to get ahold of them because they send you back a automatic response on your email because they get "over a thousand e-mails a day"
 
Someone else asked a similar question earlier and it was confirmed (and they succeeded in doing it) that any purchased apps can be added to a new phone as long as you download and sign into the Amazon Market App from the new phone using the same details as before.

Have you tried that?
 
^that is correct. just sign in under the username you used on your old phone and you will have the ability to re-dl all your apps
 
I may be off, but I believe he purchased it through the Android Market the first time around, and now it's no longer there.

When he contacted the developer, they said it's on the Amazon App Store, where he'll have to purchase it again for $2.99.

At least that's what I think the OP meant.

Methinks you may be right.... cheeky feckers is my first thought about them moving it from one market to another.
