If you happen to go to Best Buy before 10/18, know that some Best Buy stores have a misleading display up. They have a model of the HDX, along with a sign that they are for sale. They are NOT for sale yet. I learned the hard way. And so did the employees of the first Best Buy I had encountered with this misleading display. I had actually canceled my preorder of the HDX because I thought they were for sale TODAY at Best Buy. Best Buy told me it may be weeks before they get any after they did a long investigation in the matter for me.
I have since decided to go with a Nexus 7. But PLEASE ask questions if you see one of these displays! Don't just stupidly cancel your preorder,
like I did. Because if I had done a preorder as of today, I would have gotten one "when available", according to Amazon.com. It appears they are no longer guaranteeing delivery by the 18th. At least that's what I saw. Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
So just be aware, you guys.
