Bgr update!

I actually Re-boot my mobile usually twice a week just to keep everything fresh etc.

But sometimes If I'm away I usually have my phone off at night , hence waking up in the morning and Re-booting hearing it every day I'm away. So if I'm away say 5 days I boot it up 5 times {one a day in the morning} hence hearing the sound :D

Would you be Embarrassed if you were like on a Bus and had to start the phone? Everyone looking at you when your phone says "droid" :p

LOL Good point.

I'm sure you can change it, with Android, you can change everything.

He had the sound out before the boot up video, and he asked for some dev help before the boot up video. I wonder if any of the bootup was customized, like the eye or the Droid sound playing.

Agreed....but how often do you boot your phone?

I hardly ever do. /shrug

Coming from my BlackBerry Tour's 8-minute boot up, this would be a nice change. That's assuming that that's the full boot sequence and not just the last 30 secs of it. Do other Android devices boot this fast? (Sorry, new to Android OS.)

You got me curious about this too. I found a you tube video with someone booting up a G1 and an HTC Magic, which is the MyTouch. It took right at 1 minute for the G1 to boot and 1 minute 10 seconds for the MyTouch to boot.

YouTube - HTC Magic vs HTC G1 boot time comparison

Booting starts at approximately 1:20 into the video.

Nice find Jaq.

It looks like the boot starts ~1:37, and it takes about a minute for each. Not too hateful, but with the better phones (meaning they have more involved with what they can do) I wonder if the load times are going to take PC times on booting.
