Eugene / BH_MAN has received enough donations to purchase a new hard drive! Thank You Everyone!!

So he didn't actually ask for help. But I noticed on his twitter that he states all work on the Behold 2 was lost....due to a hard drive crash. Since he has been a great help to the community I think it is due time for us to help him. Lets please try to donate to him to help with the cost of the new hard drive. If you are willing to help with the cost please post here with the amount you are willing to donate so we can keep tabs on how far we need to go to try to cover as much as possible. Once we get everything settled we will hopefully be able to help him as much as he has helped us.

I'm sure since he's a dev that he made a backup of all his stuff right? That's computer science 101, and just let me know I have a 500GB drive sitting right next to me but the bad news is that I'm stuck in this southeast snow storm right now with ups and fedx closed probably till Thursday - Friday.

Doesn't look like it. Alot of people make backups...just most don't think to make an external backup. *shrug*
 
Count me in for $10. I have a Behold II that I use only for calling, and nothing much else. I would like to upgrade to the new version, but am not dying without it.

What is really interesting is that there are so many people here waiting for BH-MAN to finish his "magic", but do not want to contribute to the cause.

It's not that big of an issue, using the old P4 laptop currently for the internet, but not powerful enough to compile on...

If & only if you want to help, the HDD I'm likely will get will be Newegg.com - Seagate Momentus ST9750420AS 750GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache 2.5" SATA 3.0Gb/s Internal Notebook Hard Drive -Bare Drive but I've had a few DM come in with people willing to help, so until I have a HDD in hand I'm still planning on that drive.. I can't use anything less than
500GB 16MB Cache / 7200rpm drive..
