Big issue with Gmail and ICS

Using SII with ICS 4.0.3 for 2 days only, I noticed a big issue when replaying an email in the Gmail app. As the English is not my 1st language, I always use XT9 with spell correction. When I do that in the landscape mode, the line that contains the suggested words cover completely the area I am typing in it, so I type completely in the dark !!!!!

See the attached pic.

I can not imagine how this fault passes the eyes of the designer.
Try it yourself.

One more question please :
1- When I pick "spell correction " only in the XT9 advanced setting, I found the KB is suggesting name in the place where I type, which confuses me, although I did not check neither word completion or next word prediction>

How can I get rid of this forced suggestions and only see the words suggested in the lower line ?

Thanks

You should give Hacker's keyboard a try. It's free in the Google Play Store. It allows you to set its height in both portrait and landscape modes, and it even has on option "Landscape mode full screen editor".
