Your complaint is that you aren't getting OS updates in a timely manner, but your comparison is getting them once a year? I don't see how you can complain about getting multiple updates in a year, because Apple gets one a year...
Right, once a year. The thing is, EVERYONE has to wait for a new update. Its not fragmented with some phone like the Nexus One getting updates early cause its Google's phone. Pretty much forcing you to buy a phone with outdated tech just to get OS updates first and now you cant even get it. So one carrier will upgrade while another might take months to upgrade as you sit on your old Android OS wondering whats going on or if your carrier even feels like updating your phone thats barely 6 months old thus forcing you to buy a new phone at full retail just to get the new OS. Its BS and its going to make people stop buying Android devices if Google doesnt fix it and fast.
Ahh... so, Android sucks because you get three or four updates a year, but some people get them first.... as opposed to once a year as long as everyone gets them at the same time?
Translation: iPhone rules... and Android isn't as good... because.
LMAO, who gets 3 or 4 updates a YEAR on their Android phones? Please tell me who and I will switch right now! My Hero got 2.1 a year ago and it ran slower than a phone 10 years older and Sprint decided it wouldnt get 2.2 So then I had to spend $600 to get an Evo just to get 2.2 last June. So I have had 2 updates in over a year and had to pay $600 and buy a new phone just to get one of them, thats pathetic. Many people are still running 2.1 for a year. 3-4 updates a year? LOL Nice try.

The Droid X was released with 2.1, now they have gotten 2.2, and are about to get 2.3.
The next update 3.0, will also be released on the Droid X. That's to name 1.

There have been 5 official updates for the Evo since launch day and an Evo owner, you might be aware of that.
There have been 2 OS updates from Google since the Evo was launched. The first it got within 6 weeks of the code hitting the open repository and the second hit the open repository less than a month ago.
Android isn't becoming a joke.
iOS doesn't update at the rate you claim.
People that enjoy the iPhone can soon have it on Big Red.
For those seeking a technically superior alternative, with much greater variety of handsets and interfaces, there's Android.
IT doesn't matter if you get more frequent updates. You have to wait for them... that's unacceptable.
Say what you will about Apple but at least you dont have to buy a new phone every year just to get the newest OS.
Maybe best to be sure of others' status before responding - in any case, you're welcome to - I'm just saying... maybe not worth the time...
Ditto, I wouldn't have even noticed had you not said something.
i I happy
Has anyone even mentioned the fact, that most phones can upgrade via Root and have all new OS's as fast as independent developers can get them out??? .
