Help Bionic Gallery Help

Yes, I did search before starting this thread, but got a gazillion hits and after wading through a page, I said, "To heck with it!!"

I tried the .nomedia trick on my Bionic to keep a directory full of thumbnails for an emoji app from showing up in the gallery, but that didn't work. I guess the first question is, should the .nomedia trick have worked? If not, how do I stop an entire directory of thumbnails from showing up in my Gallery?

Any help will be appreciated,

You might not like this answer ...

Download a copy of QuickPic from Play Store and give it a try.

If you like the iPhone you will not like QuickPic. If you like the Bionic I think you will love QuickPic and wonder how you've missed it all this time.

For me, iGallery is THE example of what is wrong with pre-installed software (AKA bloatware).

I downloaded it and it seems to work well. The thumbnails that I had issues with are gone from its gallery, but I would still like to know if there is a way to keep them from showing up in the native (I can't really call it bloatware, because it does serve a purpose on the phone) Gallery app.

Thanks for the help,
