Help Bionic Goes To Bluish Screen After Unlock (have to press home button)

I've been searching online just to see if anyone else is experiencing this issue. Both my fiance and I got Bionic's this past Saturday (10/1) and sometimes when I unlock my phone, I get a blank bluish screen. I don't have to pull the battery, just simply hit the home button and I'm back to normal. I've tried pulling the battery once just to see if it would resolve the issue but it returned shortly there after. It does not do it every single time, maybe 2-3 times per day, it is more of an annoyance than anything, but just wanted to see if others experienced it. I am not getting a white or black screen, and I DO NOT have to pull the battery, it seems as though the only button that will get it to start working again is the home button though. Her phone does not do this at all though. Just wanted to check with others before I possibly take the phone back to the store since I'm still within my 14 days.

Thank you!

Are you using any 3rd party Home Screens? I had this issue with Launcher Pro on my OG Droid. Don't have any issues using it on my Bionic however. I'm leaning more of an issue with software (you're home launcher) rather than hardware.

Not running a third party home screen here. I'm new to the whole Android thing, so is there anything I can do about my Home launcher if it is indeed a problem?

I don't know any other way of reinstalling the home screen app other than rooting or doing a factory reset. You can also try to use 3rd party home launchers and see if that issue show up there as well. There are many out there like Launcher Pro, ADW Launcher, Go Launcher EX, etc...The apps are replacement home launchers but do not remove your stock home launcher which is called Blur. Don't know if that's what you like but some people are fond of it. I prefer a simpler home launcher like Launcher Pro. It also allows you to customize your home screens. Everyone has different taste so give it a shot and see what happens. I would probably do a factory reset myself as that's not normal but that's just me. Others may have more better ways of fixing this issue. Hope I am of some help if any.

My first bionic wouldn't send or receive MMS so they sent me a replacement and now i have the same issue with the replacement phone. sometimes, randomly, when i want to unlock the screen, i get this blank blue screen. hitting the home button solves it and then its fine. although the home screen often lags when loading out of the unlock as well. i downloaded a pic to the sdcard which i use as my background. would moving it onto the internal storage speed that up? any help is much appreciated. how can i get the home screen to load quicker without installing a 3rd party launcher.

and if i did install a 3rd party launcher, without rooting, is there any way for it to completely take over as the stock homescreen? ie: uninstall the stock homescreen?

How long have both of you left the phone alone after it goes to the bluish screen? I think it just goes stupid for a small while while it is trying to re-establish it's connection - speaking of which, what are your battery saver settings, possibly set to nighttime? If so, switch it over to performance and see if it still happens (I just read in another post that Nighttime mode actually turns off data connection (or, at least WiFi) after 15 minutes of inactivity....
