Bionic Headache from DROID Bionic?

I thought I could hang with the pentile qhd screen, but it's just nowhere close to my charge screen. Viewing angles are much worse, colors are washed out, and that damn chainlink fence is the real killer for me. I know not everybody can see this, but it's always there when I look at the thing. This is comparable to older projectors that used a slow color wheel. Some people (me included) could see rainbow streaks during fast motion scenes, others simply were not affected by them. Not all eyes and brains are created the same.

So I'm back to my charge and will return the bionic. The bionic was definitely faster, but not fast enough for me to keep it. There are some other things that are also bothering me like the high pitched squeal I hear through the headphones while playing music, and the battery life was much worse for me when compared to the charge.

The last draw was that I loaded up the EP1W gingerbread ROM using imoseyon's test kernel. Getting Quadrant scores of 2300 compared to 1600 before. I can honestly say that gap in performance between my charge and the bionic is much smaller. There are other tweaks that also speed things up (V6 supercharger and loopy smoothness) that remove the browser redraw completely. I noticed redraw on the bionic several times.

One last bonus using EP1W is that Skype video now works on the front camera. Awesome.

Here's the link to imoseyon's kernel:

[KERNEL] [GB] imoseyon kernel (leaked stock repacked, v2.0.4voodoo, 9/10/11))

Give it a try with EP1W, they really made my charge a new phone.

Hi

I get a headache too with my phone. I checked the radiation and it's less than my last phone so that can't be the cause. The headaches started just after my first call and came whenever I was near the phone after that - if it is switched on. The phone is a Sony Ericsson Xperia.
