Bionic Lapdock - Is it worth it?

TBH it is a nice toy but is not really all that useful. Basically you are paying 299 for a nice browser. I thought it would make accessing my work or home PC easier with the larger screen however without being able to re-size the screen like you can on the phone itself the laptop dock was really no benefit to me at all. for 300 you can get a nice tablet these days or a nice netbook.

I got it hoping to be able to use Cisco AnyConnect and ConnectBot to access servers at work with a decent sized screen and a real keyboard. AnyConnect requires rooting the phone. The WebTop app doesn't seem to work when the phone is rooted, which makes the whole plan impossible.

The larger web browser and keyboard is nice, so I'm keeping it for now. I'm hoping that Cisco will come out with a version of AnyConnect that doesn't require rooting.

It might have been better to get a netbook and use the phone to tether it.

It is nice for a browser, easier to work & charge the phone at night. Not sure it is worth the $300 cost. I would have perferred a port replicator for connecting a mouse/keyboard/monitor. It does have 2 usb ports in the back. Have to remove cases to connect phone to it.....

It's a little pricey for what it does but I like it. I'm glad I have it. it makes typing a bunch of emails a lot more bearable.
Plus it's kind of a novelty. What other phone has this?
Yeah I'm a spoiled brat who likes toys, but it's still useful.
