Bionic or RAZR?

ibnexus.

I would go Razr. I understand the non-removeable battery, but the iPhone has done well by it. Also, the droid X has had great support even with the locked bootloader

I would wait a couple more weeks and get the Galaxy Nexus when it comes out, but thats just me... ...and alot of this forum I think :D

In my opinion, I would hold off and wait for the nexus. I played with the razr for a little while and was not overly impressed. yes, it was very fast, but it had no apps loaded on it except for the VZW bloat. what i didnt like most of all was the fact that it has the same size screen as the DX yet it is noticeably wider then the DX. there is at least a 5/16 bezel on either side of the screen. but, if you must choose between the bionic and the razr, go with the razr. It's newer tech that will see updates sooner then the bionic, hopefully. we all know how prompt moto and vzw are at getting updates out the their phones:rolleyes:

I would go with the Bionic. The razor is going to b screwed if it goes into a boot loop I trust Motorola to a point not enough to keep me away from the battery

Razr is much better than the bionic imo, amoled screen, much thinner, pretty good battery management software, etc. Of course Nexus is better than both of them (again imo).

since the op is asking between the bionic and razr, i would say razr, considering its the most recent release, and may see a better dev community than the bionic, since now the bionic seems to be oldish news.

Well... I've got the (now-I-guess-it's-an-antique) Bionic. Got a nice deal at Costco that included a desk-charger, extra battery, mobile mount, extra power adapters... yada yada yada... I'm a happy camper. If I have a long, busy day, I take the extra battery with me. So far I've not had to yank the battery for any reason, but it's nice to know I can if I have to. Or even if I just want to. ;)

yea ive seen the stuff about the nexus and everyone talking about it but ive been using moto devices since the droid 1 and ive liked the quality and the quickness to fix bugs ive never used a samsung

my brother has the charge and in my opinion it feels easily breakable

IMO

Both the Bionic and Razr have their target audiences.

If I was in your shoes, check out the two phones for yourself. The biggest difference would be the form factor, screen and battery life.

The Razr is considerably thinner but also considerably wider than the Bionic. I think a wider phone is less appealing but you might not feel the same.

The Razr uses AMOLED vs the LCD pentile of the Bionic. AMOLED equals less bright but more vivid in regards to colors. LCD is brighter but the colors aren't that vivid but is also more visible in the sunlight. It's an even trade off IMO.

You have more options with battery replacement with the Bionic because the Razr doesn't have a removable battery. However, I really don't think it'll be a big problem if you have a charger with you throughout the day or if you have one of those portable battery chargers.

As for dev support, not sure if either will take off with the Galaxy Nexus on it's way. The Bionic has a few ROMS but not like it was with the D1. At least, it has something though. A couple of deblurred ROMS which IMO will make good base ROMS for other developers to use.

Good luck with your choice! If you like Moto, then you'll be happy with either device.

Edit : one more difference would of course be the price between the two phones.

Between the 2 go w/ the RAZR. But I would wait until the galaxy nexus comes out on Friday ( rumor ) and decide from those 3.
