Help Bizarre "sent from" number for sent sms

I am texting a friend from my new thunderbolt and she reports that my number is showing up as a strange long string of numbers that in no way relates to my phone number. Anyone else see this?

Happened to almost everybody the first time they sent a text. Power cycle the phone or do a battery pull and it will be fine.

Power off and battery pull was a quick fix.
