Help Black Black diamonds displaying as red emoji in Android

This code:
<p class="center">&diams;&diams;&diams;&diams;&diams;&diams;&diams;&diams;&diams;&diams;&diams;&diams;</p>

Displays as a black diamond in Chrome, IE and FF.
However on my Android phone it get replaced by a red diamond.

Any solutions out there?
