black galaxy s3?

I'll probably buy a black one. The reason I didn't buy a S3 day one was because of the colors. In my opinion, (no offense to anyone who owns a white or blue S3) The blue looks cheap, almost like a toy, like you're not quite ready for a "grown-up" phone yet. As for white, it's the "in" and "trendy" color, it's the "I'm so cool, I have a white phone" phone. Again this is just my opinion, I mean no offense to people with those colors. Personally I prefer the sterile, lifeless, "cog in the machine" black color myself. ;)

Pretty much how I feel. White phones seem too flashy, and the blue just looks like a toy.

I'm really glad that the black S3 rumors turned out to be true. Now if we could just get confirmation of a US release...

I have the pebble blue and aside from the obviously purple home button (which simply makes no sense in my view) I'm happy with it. Still, black and dark gray are the colors I like most. It may be boring to some, but if the black color was available from the get go, I would have gone with it for sure. I wonder if Verizon will even get the black one.

MobileFun website has the black S3 up for pre-order. Expected in 4-6 weeks and it's ONLY the 16GB variant for sale. Price is set the same for when the S3 was first released,

The whole phone is the same colour. Including the Home button. If you look closely, the grain and the colour are the same. Its actually the same material on the home button as under the glass fascia. ...And that is the distinction... The material is under reflective glass, so it appears darker, giving it a different finish.

Sure, they should have taken this into account, but it is the same colour and the entire pebble phone is purple, not blue. That said, i still love it.

I was with you all the way up until you said the phone was purple and not blue. We can argue about it being blue or not, but one thing for sure, its not purple.

More a lylac really. Lavender... run it through a spectrum analyser

Its a little darker than that. But in different lighting it might look like that. I will say this, at times its hard to tell what color it is. But either way I am happy with it. I would not trade it for a black one. I really wanted a black one at first but after seeing the pictures of the black phone, I would not trade mine. But if they made the black phone like the blue or the red one, then I might be a little upset. lol. I think the way the put together the blue and red ones are really nice.

Tomato....To mot toe

Potato....Po tot o

Everyone has their own perception of what the blue or red is to them. It's amazing how folks can both be looking at the same color & see something entirely different then we do or at least we think they are. If the blue is purple to you great, if the red is maroon or whatever to you great. It's all your perception & no one is going to change that. This argument could go on forever, but one thing we can agree on is the white is white & the black will be black & even my dog agrees w/ me on this. Now I'm off to another thread that will be argued until the end of time...Do I really need a screen protector if my phone has Gorilla Glass ?

I can't believe the hype over this black GS3 in every forum. When it was announced in only white and blue, I thought to myself why not black? Then I look at my DX and said out loud "Oh well, I'm going to get a black case anyway."
