Black HTC Screen - Updated to 2.08.1 DC

I updated my hero to 2.08.1 through the updater. It went through and finished everything and I rebooted. However it is stuck at the HTC screen and goes no further. I let it set for about 5 minutes. Is it supposed to go past this screen or am I missing something or am I being impatient?

Normally you see the flash screen after it.

give it time... if the update wiped the davlik it could take up to 30 minutes

Ended up wiping it and reflashing it. It works fine now but I lost everything.

Mine was there for about 10 minutes, then another 5-10 on the white HTC screen
