Help Black Screen and battery drain

Hey, I've been having issues with my phone, more so recently than when I first got it. Randomly during the day (and now several times a day), when I try to "wake up" the phone by pushing the power button, nothing happens. The backlight doesn't turn on or anything. About 90% of the time, the phone is very warm/hot to the touch. Holding the power button down for 20ish seconds turns off the phone, and then when I restart it, it works just fine. I removed the microSD card, deleted practically all of my apps, bought a case, removed the case, stopped putting it in my pocket (thinking it was just overheating b/c of that). Do you all have any suggestions?

Thanks for your help!

You have an app that is locking up the phone and causing it to not wake up and run hot.
When did this start? Did you recently install or update any apps?
I use SystemPannel to monitor CPU usage.

This has been going on since I bought the phone, maybe 1x per week, but in the last week, its happened several times a day. In the bat manager graph, you can see an abrupt dropoff of 30 percent or so when this happens. Current apps include google drive, and the stock apps by sprint that I can't get rid of.

IF its been going on since you bought it its possible its a bad device.
Short of hard resetting it and running as close to stock as possible there isnt much you can do.
If you do hard reset it, dont install anything. See if you can reproduce the issues. If not slowly add apps and give them time to reproduce the bug. Eventually you will figure out what it is.
