Black screen for videos and camera

Hey,
im using simplistic rom IV,
and whenever i try to watch a video or take a picture the screen is black.
if i capture a pic it shows just fine in the gallery.
anything i can do? Thanks

Sounds like kernel issues to me.

Is but a known bug in the ROM?

Im not sure, i looked a bit around its xda thread, but didnt see any mention of this.

I did change the kernel, though, from siyah which it came with to n.e.a.k.

Maybe try reflashing it and leaving the kernel it comes with? That would at least eliminate that variable

Can i just reflash, or do i have to wipe and set everything again?

Same problem here .. And i have the official stock rom. Rooted .. But it did that before rooting ... that's why i rooted the damn thing
