Hi friends.
I have dug around a bit on the forums and I found a few threads on the black screen of death however I think my problem is different.
What I am experiencing is when trying to wake up the phone (Phone is locked or in sleep mode, I press the home or power button to wake the device up) more often than not the screen will stay black and the capacitive buttons will light up.
When pressing on the black screen I can hear the phone making the normal sounds that it would make if the screen was on. (default water drip noise) and when I slide my finger it will make the normal unlock sound, however the screen will remain pitch black.
Pressing the lock and unlock button will solve the issue most of the time but some times it will hang up again and I am forced to lock and unlock the phone several time for it to clear.
The phone is a Verizon model , no root no mod. Stock all the way from the day I got it till now.
0 drops
Screen is flawless no water damage
I have tried to factory reset the device, and today is the second time I have sent the phone to Samsung for a repair related to this issue.
They replaced the LCD screen and sent it back to me with no change in the issue, very disappointed in the quality control of the repair department but that
