Root Blade Buddy & Rooting

El Presidente

Beware The Milky Pirate!
In preparation for installing another ROM, I rooted my GF's blade today. However I've rebooted the phone and apparently it's no longer rooted (I get an error message saying I need root privileges when I try to open Blade Buddy.) Is this normal? When I first opened Universal Androot, it told me the device was already rooted however it didn't do this after a reboot.

Also, what are safe settings for Blade Buddy? I've turned H/W acceleration on, but this hasn't really done much performance wise and from the limited info I've gathered searching online, increasing the davlik heapsize can also improve things, what is a relatively safe setting?

Is there a SuperUser app on your phone ? If so, check that the Blade Buddy app has privileges granted in it. If no SuperUser app then try downloading SuperUser by ChainsDD from the Market, and try again :)

Yeah, there's an app there. I've done a bit of digging and apparently the stock orange ROM will "forget" it's rooted on occasion but if you do the clockword mod recovery thing, you don't need to root to stick on a new ROM.

Thanks :)
