Blade Zmax Root?????

Pretty much everyone who was working on rooting the Z981 has abandoned the project. Just look at the main root request thread in the other forum, it is pretty much dead now and is dropping down more and more in the topic list. The Z981 has to be rooted first before the Z982 because they are very similar phones with the same kind of methods that ZTE used to make them extremely difficult or even impossible to get full root on. Even temp root is useless on them bcuz ZTE made sure that even that wouldn't get you anywhere as either it reboots almost instantly when you get it and DM Verity rolls backs any system level changes after reboot.

I have officially given up hope now and I am just going to live with what I've got until August '18 when the replacement to the Z982 is released bcuz the Blade could have been a much better phone but ZTE cut too many corners on this year's model. They should have went with at least the SD 625, 3GB of ram, and a down firing speaker that's 3X as loud as the current one. It would have also been nice if the rear facing cameras were the same as the ones on the Blade V8 Pro at 13+13MP or 16+16MP which would beat even that!

The next phone is romered to have the snapdragon 801 or 800 chip set and 3 gigs of ram also with dual cameras on the back possibly 13 + 13 mp with 32 gb of internal storage. May also launch with Android 8 or 9.

The 615 that was in the old pro was a quad core Prosser and now we have a octo core with the 435 also the 435 scores better than the 615 and also it has a better GPU built in adreno 405 vs adreno 505. Get your facts straight. The blade z max is a way better phone.

I wish LG didn't keep shipping the Stylo phones with less and less features with every step up in model. I'm running an experimental K550 2+ (wife hated it) with a ton of PM uninstalled (well, moved) system and LG apps, and this phone runs great now. Untouched, the system uses almost 100% of the 2GB it has.

Unfortunately, the Stylo 2+ lost laser focus feature and the camera is absolutely terrible, even outdoors. Stylo 1 took great pics. With a bit of app pruning, the 2+ is buttery smooth. Feels better in hand over the 1.

Is it true the Stylo 3 has no NFC? I was thinking about grabbing one but if NFC was scrapped and the camera is as bad as the 2+, I can't do it..

Try this on your stylo 2 +.
Flash custom rom on xda by messi called Lineage OS build"7.
Its an Nougat Based rom running 7.1.2.
My stylo 2+ is still my daily driver. With this rom along with viper4android and dolby atmos this phone runs like a new car.
Lineage OS has many features. I now have fast charge on my stylo 2+.
Camera in Lineage OS can record in 2k,4k and slow motion at 30fps.

As far as the stylo 3+. it comes with NFC.
I did return my stylo 3+ because T-MOBILE blocked the ability to flash .kdz to a metropcs device although it's the same phone. I was a fan of LG for allowing that for so long giving T-Mobile and metropcs customers the choice to choose either stock bloatware rom.
Also i like all button placements on the rear.

zte needs to cater to there hard core market (devs) if they want to earn back are interest .LG is simply giving us (hard core) what we want..

I'll give that a try. If there were ANY way to improve the camera at all, I'd settle for it as a daily. Even outdoor pics are disgusting lol. But definitely worth a shot, thanks for mentioning it. One question tho... Does Messi's ROM allow dual window use for non-system/LG apps like Katana did? That is one thing I'd love to have and would overlook camera for that. VERY handy feature. Still pissed that I smoked my Stylo 1 and KDZ unbrick process won't work on it!
