Blank icon in folder?

I have one folder that I use for my utilities which today i was trying to re-organize, when I noticed that there was a gap between two icons on the top row.
I tried filling the gap with an icon by pressing on another and moving it to the space but as soon as I removed my finger from it, the icon i had tried to move just fell back into place. I can move the other icons around over one another but there is always that extra gap which seems to me like a space for a blank icon or space for an icon that I have previously deleted.

I've tried renaming the folder which didn't work. Keeping my finger on an icon trying to "force" it to move into the space only results in touchwiz crashing. Moving icons out of the folder also has the same effect.

Anyone?

I've recently deleted a few other apps since my initial post and I've experienced the same thing in the folders the deleted apps once occupied. I guess deleting apps results in a blank space in the folder they were placed in, now I just have to figure out how to get rid of this effect.

Could you let us know what phone you're using and if you're running a third party launcher? It may be where the problem is coming from.
(also, what version of Android you're on)

Hi there, sogeking1. Sorry no one's had any ideas yet on your problem. :( However, if you tell us which device you're using we can move this thread to its dedicated board. That way fellow owners will be more likely to see it, and perhaps they'll have some ideas on what's causing your problem. :)

I'm using a Galaxy S2 plus. Please move it to the appropriate section if you think it will help.
Being the noob that I am it hadn't occurred to me that the issue might be device specific. Thanks for your assistance.
