Help Blank Screen...

Weird problem this morning... Turned my phone on, went to put the gps on, got distracted, screen dimmed as normal. Poke the top left button to get it back on, nothing happened.
Poke again... screen stick black.
Phone on, as it's flashing the message led.

Eventually just removed battery and re-turned on - but any ideas?

Ive had this sort of thing on rare occasions. I wouldn't worry about it unless it happens regularly. It's just one of those things. Usually when it's CPU is maxxed out doing something.
