Root Blank Screen

Well, I have been afraid of root for so long, and now I know why. I tried to root my tablet today, and now all I have is a blank screen. It shows the SAMSUNG screen very briefly, then nothing. The computer shows it as on and plugged in, but I got nothin. I used a youtube video where she showed to download Odin onto the computer, then put the zip file for the md5 file on the desktop and extract it. then I put the md5 file in the PDA part, checked the reboot box, and hit start. it said "pass" but when i unplugged the tablet and it tried to reboot, all i get is a blank screen. can anyone help? thanks.

okay, well now i have my screen back, and it's rooted, I have superuser, but the screen is flashy and shakes slightly. don't know how else to describe it. how do i fix it?

That sounds like more of a hardware problem. Rooting can at the most render your tablet unusable but it wouldn't mess up your screen.
