my phone seems fine. it responds to my touch, makes noises and such, but the screen is blank and black, though lit. I've tied pulling the battery and charging it...

1. what phone exactly
2. what were you / phone doing right before this happened??
3. what was your last interaction with the phone and what changes have you last made.

then a mod can move this thread to the right sub forum for better help.

Welcome to the forums, my-phone.

As dan330 suggests, we need more info to zero in on your device's issues and to place this thread in the proper device support area for you.

You say the screen is responsive. Can you scroll from screen to screen? What "noises" does the screen make (haptic feedback?).
