Root blinking trackpad

i was watching a video on youtube earlier last week on a mytouch 4G and i noticed that the guys mt4g had a blinking trackpad (it blinked green) for as long as ive had this phone ive NEVER seen this option. does anyone knw how to get this to work?
 
I see what you mean, but i think it's just the reflection of the camera lens. I have seen a red LED under the trackpad, so i don't know why they would add a blinking one next to it.
 
oOo u may be right now that ive re-watched it. i was hoping it actually did blink and i just missed the setting somewhere. thanks
 
yeah that's just his camera picking up the "IR" LED under that trackpad... as far as the blinking, it's similar to the LASER in an optical mouse for your computer
