Root Bloatware removal

Hi,

I've rooted my wife's Breakout for the express purpose of removing bloatware and freeing up internal memory. Despite doing so, not much space has been removed at all. Am I doing something wrong?

I was having that same problem, I removed everything that I thought wouldn't cause a system issue and then I looked through moving everything I could to the SD Card.

About the only thing you can do at this point is try a custom ROM. You will create a backup of the phone just in case you don't like the ROM, but it frees up a lot of memory.

Step 1. Install CWM Recovery here.

All you have to do is download the RecoveryAllInOne file and run that.

CWM or Stock Recovery
1.) Download the .zip
2.) Extract zip to desktop
3.) Make sure all drivers are installed (Fastboot drivers are included)
4.) On phone, enable USB Debugging
5.) Connect phone to computer and enable USB Mass Storage
6.) Run RecoveryAIO.bat
7.) Enter 1. for CWM Recovery
8.) Watch the magic!!!

Then download both BrokenOut 1.0 and BrokenOut 1.1 .zips and move them to your phone's micro SD card. and follow these instructions for best results.

Flashing ROM
1. First you need create a backup in backup/recovery
2. Second clear all cache in CWM
3. Flash Broken Out ROM 1.0
4. Now reboot, pull battery at Splash screen
5. Clear all cache again (may seem redundant but I assure you its not)
6. Flash Broken Out ROM 1.1
7. Reboot
8. Pull battery and officially boot up the device.
