It didn't use to happen, but now I get stuck with a Play Store ad on every level of Diversion. How do I stop this?

Has the app been updated recently? Maybe it's using a new ad mechanism?
Also, is it just the one game you're getting ads on, or do they appear in various other apps/on your homescreen etc?
