Good afternoon.

I'm setting up an android device for someone and I want to know if it is possible to block all broadcast SSIDs from showing on the device? Leaving them only able to connect to one router with a hidden SSID.

More details:
In wifi settings there is a list of available networks as well as previously connected networks (not in range). I am trying to set the device up so that the user (and any apps they install) cannot see the list of neighboring SSIDs. They will be connected to one router via a hidden SSID.

Is this possible?

Thank you.

Hi

I think the only way you may be able to achieve something close would be to log onto and then forget each neighboring network (this will stop automatic connection) and then, turn off network notification in wifi settings. Finally, use an app to lock the user out of the device's settings so they cannot see the available network list (also lock them out of apps such as playstore etc if you do not want them to install anything) There are many apps that can do this - I like AppLock by Domobile but its just the one I know.
