Blocking all downloads on an Android Device

[macresxv]

Hello,

I am new to the android forums and wanted to ask a question I have been searching around for quite some time.

Is there a way that you can block all downloads/ app downloads on your android device without rooting?

Can you do it after rooting?

Example: using an "appprotector" with a password in order to download.

From what I know about Android there aren't any settings that do that. Buuuut there is an app. It can black certain apps, block dwnlds, block texting calls, or anything that could cost u money. Its called kids place on the Google app store.. its free. No root needed.
