Blown out speaker? Covered or not.

For some reason my Eris speaker sounds like it's blown out. You can still hear but there's like a vibration or ratling sound kind of like how a car speaker sounds if you crank it to bits. I was thinking this would either get fixed or replaced (don't care either way), but will verizon have a problem if I have 2.1 V2 on there? Void warranty or no?

Well maybe they won't notice its been updated. You can always give it a try.

What I would do is switch to Home. It looks identical to the 1.5 version. With Sense, the multi-screen view t hing will be easy to check for and a dead giveaway.

If they do figure it out, tell them you got it OTA. They don't know when it comes out, it could be out now for all they know.
