Help blu g91 max issue

Hi I have a question and I think I know the answer but its hard to believe. I just got this phone 2 weeks ago and love it but I can not find an option for a separate ring tone for text messages.Does the newer version of Android not have this? Does anyone know a work around?

A separate ringtone for text messages....
Text message notifications are not ringtones.
They are notification sounds.
They are not ringtones.

i was guessing you understood what I was saying lol we were always able to go into messages and choose a separate ringtone. So you cant help me ?

Open your messages app, go to settings, notifications, then choose your sound.
Or directly from the home screen, swipe down, go to settings, notifications, sounds, choose from there....

Android 11 no longer has that or I would have fixed it.

Well I'm running Android 11 and it's there in plain sight.
If it's not then the manufacturer, Blu has omitted it

I was about to look into one but I really like the look and feel of Google Messages. I have no choice but to switch.

Just to clarify, you continue referring to this as a 'ringtone' issue but that does imply a problem with being able to find the correct setting to adjust. If you keep looking for 'ringtone' instead of 'notification' in your option menus, that's ignoring already established terminology as opposed to your own misleading definitions.
