Blu Ray / DVD Ripper to EVO 4G

It's not illegal to back up a legally purchased Blu Ray/DVD.

It's illegal to crack the copyright protection to do so. First time you've heard of the DMCA, perhaps?

There's a reason every USA-based DVD/Blu-ray ripping software gets pulled off the shelves. See also: RealDVD as a standout example.

And how is that not a problem for this thread, which talks about obtaining such software?

If you have backed up commercial DVDs, you've purchased illegal software. You can play semantics all you want, that doesn't change anything.

Android Forums couldn't care less about what its members do personally, but if it could adversely affect the site then it becomes our concern. Popular web forums are a much more attractive target than mere end-users. So please, don't post anything here that some over-paid and under-worked lawyer might construe as encouraging copyright theft.
