Help Blue tooth Sync with 2011 vw GTI

Can anyone guess why my new Epic won't SYNC with my 2011 VW GTI by blue tooth? I had an IPHONE 4 that worked fine and also an HTC Evo 3d.
Today when I got the phone I tried to pair it and it kept saying no compatible phone found. Thanks

Trying to help here...

When you turn on your bluetooth, did you also go to menu > settings > Wireless and network > Bluetooth settings > and make sure that

"Make device visible" is checked?

Also, you can hit the "Search for devices" from this same screen and see if your car appears (it should show as a mac address).

I have a 2011 gti as well and was able to pair and sync. I did have to mess with it for a minute or two before it discovered the phone.
