Help BlueAnt S4

Just got a BlueAnt S4, it does not pair with my Hero. Keeps getting a code confirmation to display on the BlueAnt??? It seems to work without listing on the bluetooth devices list. It finds the device and trys to pair?? The BlueAnt pairs and works fine with wifes Samsung flip phone. I did a search here but no results, any ideas would be appreciated.

Thread moved to the troubleshooting section. Hopefully, someone has the same Bluetooth headset and can give you some advice.

What do mean by a code confirmation? Are you talking about the PIN you enter to pair Bluetooth devices initially? I never had an issue pairing Bluetooth headsets to my Sprint HTC Hero. Even one that was really old worked like a charm.

The hero comes up with a message to confirm that the BlueAnt is displaying a 6 digit code and when I say yes it says there is a code error. I never got the chance to enter the code like I did when it paired with my Prius. I may have installed some app that changes the bluetooth, but I don't think so. I use very few apps and none other than BT on/off widget that deal with networking. I am stumped and so is BlueAnt tech support.

Yeah, you cannot change the Bluetooth just by installing apps. You would have to actually flash a whole new ROM with an updated Bluetooth stack to change that.

Unfortunately, I am not familiar with this issue. It could just be that the HTC Bluetooth stack just does not like your Bluetooth headset. It has been known to be a little finicky at times. Though, it is usually finicky with pairing to cars, but not Bluetooth headsets.
