Help Bluetooth Alerts ??

Hi

When I connect via bluetooth to my car, calls ring via the car speakers and I can make and receive calls fine.

But when I get a txt I get no audio alert via the car and nothing via the phones speaker. It still vibrates.

I've tried various apps that are meant to help with alerts via bluetooth and nothing has worked.

In the car I can access the Desire as a phone or a music device. If I set it as a music device and I am listening to music from the Desire via the car, then I get txt alerts via the car.

But if I'm listening to the radio, no alerts come through the car. The phone rings via the car fine..

If I can't get alerts via the car, is there anyway I keep the calls coming to the car, but have the text alerts via the phone ?

Anyone any ideas on this ?

I'm happy to buy an app if that will get it working ?
Also happy to have alerts via phone, not car.

Sort of got this working.

The Desire supports Phone & Media via Bluetooth.

If I connect both to the car, then I get no text alerts etc whilst listening to the radio. Neither the car nor the phone beep to alert me.

However, If I'm listening to music from the Desire via the car, then I get text alerts via the car.

Calls always work.

I have now disabled Media on the Desire for the pairing to the car. Now calls still work and text alerts come through to the phone.

Not perfect, I would prefer all the alerts etc via the car, but at least I now know when I get a text !
