Bluetooth Audio car problem - Help

Hi all,
I have come from a iphone 5s and find this phone way better. BUT, I have a problem when I bluetooth it to my Honda car. The audio tracks cannot be selected on the car screen, in fact I cannot even select which album I want to play, nor will it show me anything other than the track playing and select next track, or previous.
With the iphone I had complete control over what album / track etc.

How can I fix this other than pick up the phone whilst driving & do it from there which is highly dangerous.

Thankyou

I was hoping i could help here but sadly i dont know why you cant.. it works for my radio. I can control all music features including pandora and my contacts/dialer right through my head unit, is your radio stock or custom? And how old is it?

It sadly depends on the manufacturer of the music system - whether they support all BT protocols. My N5 pairs fine with my car, and gives me all those features. So I think the issue is not with the phone.
Check to see if there is any firmware update available for your music system.
Else, wait for Google Now to implement the appropriate voice commands (shouldn't be too long - Google Now Probably Getting Voice Media Controls (Next Track, Stop, Etc.), Unfinished Version Already Live For Some)

Or, you could look into autovoice with Tasker to create your own voice commands
